The Hut Group is today announcing the acquisition of Zavvi, the movie, games and music retailer. Part of the acquisition sees the business taking ownership of www.zavvi.co.uk, which re-launches today.

Excellent, finally some good news. An absolutly astute business move that will draw on The Huts capabilities and maximise shrewd customers but will also build on the zavvi brand that the previous management successfully did I feel. To take a brand as powerful as Virgin and rebadge was always going to be a difficult task.
