Ex Moneysupermarket and Travelsupermarket I.T. Boss Gareth James joins The Hut Group board as Chief Information Officer

The Hut Group today announced Gareth James has joined the company as Chief Information Officer following senior management and chief architect roles at Moneysupermarket.com, Travelsupermarket.com and The Caudwell Group.

Gareth has a 10 year track record of success. Highlights include his design and delivery of the UK’s first online direct B2C mobile retail website for Caudwell’s Phones4U brand. Subsequently, Gareth lead a team of over 100 IT staff at Moneysupermarket.com and Travelsupermarket.com where he was responsible for all IT design. During this period Gareth led the design and delivery of revolutionary new insurance, money and travel products using a new enterprise architecture – these products generated £50m+ incremental revenues per annum. Finally, Gareth was appointed to Moneysupermarket’s PLC leadership team during its listing in 2007 – Europe’s largest internet IPO.
