Preparing your CV
Your CV is your personal specification, showcasing your abilities, skills and experience, and is intended to demonstrate what you are capable of.
To help us identify your key skills, here are some useful hints and tips for preparing your CV for The Hut Group.
Include essential information such:
- Name
- Contact Details
- Details of Employment History:
- Start with your most recent role and work backwards
- List responsibilities and achievements you’ve had in detail
- Relevant Skills
- Abilities
- Make sure you sell yourself for the role that you are applying for.
Do not include:
- Your gender
- Date of birth
- Age
- Marital status
Keep your CV short and informative, it should be no longer than 2 sides of A4.
Your CV should be easy to read – use clear and concise content and formatting.
Include key areas such as an introduction (a brief summary of yourself), previous employment, qualifications (including professional qualifications), hobbies and interests, contact details and references.
Add a little bit about yourself on the CV but we don’t need to know the ins and outs of your personal life, i.e. marital status/family status etc.
Make sure you check, double check and triple check spelling and grammar.
If you are adding a cover letter with your application make sure you include your salary expectation and notice period.
